The much anticipated Counter-Strike 2 was launched on Wednesday after a long wait and many months of tease as players anticipated the arrival of the game from Valve.

However, despite the fact that Valve spent over five months teasing the game, its launch has revealed some issues that the game developers failed to sort out before release.

It seems as though with each match played, new or previously discovered issues pop up. One of the cases is that of experienced CS pro-Jonathan “EliGE” Jablonowski, who shared his first impressions of the game after running scrims with other competitive teams.

EliGE posted on his X account to highlight some of the early problems of the game after scrims.

He mentioned the rubber banding, which he said was an issue when running next to a teammate, a significant drop in the FPS during matches, and also through smokes.

These issues are similar to that which was complained about by other players like superstar CS pro-Oleksandr “s1mple” Kostyljev, who also complained about the lag in the gameplay of CS2.

Furthermore, he mentioned sound issues during the play of CS2, saying that it is difficult to listen to sound cues like footsteps because of muffled noises and other noises that activate in the game.

Sound cues are a big part of First-Person Shooter games like CS2 as it is part of its tactical gameplay; providing information and inaccurate sound cues will drop the competitive integrity of the game.

These are some of the basic mechanics and glitches that Valve must fix as soon as possible as disappointing reviews continue to pour in since the launch of CS2.
