French organization Karmine Corp’s LEC team are going through a major coaching shake-up for the 2024 Spring Split after a 2-7 Winter Split.

The man who was previously the head coach, Jakob “YamatoCannon” Mebdi, won’t be returning in that role as the squad’s head coach. Reports indicate that the team’s current assistant coach, Rehareha “Reha” Ramanana, will become the new head coach.

Reha has been a part of the organization since 2020 and was the League of Legends team’s head coach throughout 2023. This new arrangement is coming after the team started the year losing seven games consecutively in the split.

However, the team improved and concluded the split with two back-to-back wins in the last week. These new announcements and changes are coming ahead of the Spring Split, although fans are debating the amount of time that YamatoCannon had to work on the team.

Karmine Corp’s entry into the LEC was hyped by the org’s dedicated fan base and backed up by its impressive history in the LFL and EMEA Masters. The massive following led to a record-breaking viewership in the team’s LEC debut.

The Winter Split Playoffs will reveal who will be crown the first 2024 LEC champion, but KC fans will have to wait for any official announcement on the team as regards the Spring Split.

Meanwhile, Yuki’s departure from competitive Apex Legends means that Unlucky will play on the ALGS roster, according to Alliance. The signing has made significant changes in the EMEA region, as Yuki’s retirement becomes the first domino in a cascade of mid-season roster changes.

Yuki left on February 3, and his exit has led to further roster changes across the board. The Hakis, Yuki, and Effect trio has been a staple of European Apex since 2022, consistently performing well across competitive splits and becoming a staple at LANs.
