XSET Takes Charge of North America’s team as The Return To Apex Legends

A roster that once was with Team Liquid and that the likes of longtime IGL Brandon “Nocturnal” Singer, Brandon “FunFPS” Goombridge, offseason addition Nicholas “Sikezz” Odom, and coach Haris “Hodsic” Hodzic has been signed by XSET.

XSET takes over the team as they return to the Apex Legends, which signals a significant move by the organization, more or less a statement signing.

However, their chance to meet up with the expectations of many, the new XSET team has, started on Sunday, December 18, when they play the regional finals. The regional finals serve as a lock in a bid to earn a place at the Split One Playoffs LAN, but XSET has already earned a place irrespective of the result.

The split will happen in early 2023, and XSET will continue to be one of the favorites to win the top honors at the LAN.

XSET’s last representation in Apex was by the current SZN squad, although they are also currently a free agent. Meanwhile, it’s XSET’s move back into Apex since mid-2022.

Team Liquid’s year two exit at the ALGS was contained with Nocturnal, Fun, and Hodsic Alongside Zachary “Gild” Dennis, and the team won $150,000 in the Split Two Playoffs after finishing in second place at the LAN based in Stockholm, Sweden.

After the LAN in Stockholm, the team also made it to the 12th-place finish at the ALGS Championship in Raleigh, North Carolina.

12 CDL franchises and four qualified Challengers teams participated in the 2023 Call of Duty League Major One as they all aimed to win the first available points of CDL Points toward Championship qualification.

The disintegration of the team started with the Gild’s exit to NRG while team Liquid replaced him with controller fragger Sikezz before announcing that it would allow the players to negotiate with other teams.
