Virtus Pro has announced the release of CS: GO veteran Dauren “AdreN” Kystaubayev from his contract.

The organization announced on Tuesday to wish the veteran well in the next line of his Esport career and future endeavour.

AdreN was a part of the Virtus Pro team back during the 2012-2013 season. He left and had a second stint with them when he rejoined them again in December of 2019 after the outfit acquired AVANGAR’s CS: GO roster.

Speaking on the development, Sergey Glamazda, Virtus pro’s General Manager, described AdreN as an incredibly experienced player.

Glamazda, who also described him as a Major winner, added that his expertise for any team he is in is priceless while noting that his ability to energize everyone around him is top-notch.

The current players in Virtus Pro’s roster include Dzhami «Jame» Ali, Aleksey «qikert» Golubev, Sanjar «SANJI» Kuliev, Mareks «YEKINDAR» Gaļinskis, and Timur «buster» Tulepov, who is inactive at the moment.

Virtus Pro had finished as the runners-up at the StarLadder Berlin Major. They also won the BLAST Pro Series Moscow in September 2019.

They, however, entered a slump afterward as they failed to produce good results in 2020. This made them miss out from participating in the two grand finals at both CIS Regional Major Ranking tournaments, which are ESL One: Road to Rio Major in May and WePlay! Clutch Island in June.

Although AdreN’s replacement is unknown, speculations are pointing to Timur “buster” Tulepov, who could also have another stint with the team. It could be recalled that 20-year-old buster, who stepped down in May, was replaced by Mareks “YEKINDAR” Gaļinskis, a newcomer.

AdreN left VP with an unimpressive 0.90 average rating in 2020, which is far below the numbers he posted years ago as the MVP of the PGL Kraków Major in July 2017 while he was with Gambit.

The veteran said he wanted to keep on winning with Virtus.pro, but things didn’t work out.

AdreN is also a Major champion with a vast career in Counter-Strike 1.6 and CS: GO. He has had stints with several popular teams, which include k23, Astana Dragons, HellRaisers, and FaZe Clan.

AdreN, who said he would meet his fans in the next chapter, has yet to drop a hint if he will continue playing.
