VALORANT has finally been launched in North America. It means that players in that region can now participate in the game.

The developer, Riot Games, worked behind the scene for the success of the game that is a five-vs-five, competitive, character-based tactical shooter meant for the PC platform.

According to the developer, the game is about skill, strategy, and coordination that combines unique abilities with fierce gunplay.

Riot Games, which also created League of Legends, Legends of Runeterra, and Tactics Tactics, closed the beta launch of VALORANT in April.

Having celebrated its 10th-anniversary event recently, Riot has now rolled out VALORANT in North America and Europe, and it has also expanded into Korea, South America, and Latin America.

Before the beta launch was closed in May, Riot fixed thousands of bugs, glitches, and exploits with hundreds of cheaters banned, and multiple patches were released.  Although it was smooth sailing, it encountered a few hiccups along the way.

There is also an extensive change to the game, which includes a new agent -Reyna, a new map called Ascent, and a game mode – Spike Rush.

According to the developers, apart from VALORANT being free to play, it also features 11 agents, four maps, and an unrated mode. It also stated that it would later add a competitive mode to the game along with new characters, maps, and more.

Meanwhile, after the launch in North American, VALORANT EU servers have been down for emergency maintenance.

The company is hoping to resolve the issue within four hours. This means that the server challenges continue in the EU; fortunately, not League of Legends this time.

According to the company’s explanation through its Twitter page, during the four hours of maintenance, developers hope to resolve it within the hour stated.

Meanwhile, pundits have said it’s not a surprise to see such a situation with VALORANT after its official launch, as the servers would expectedly be overloaded with players itching to jump into the action.

The development, according to reports, is likely what led to the instability and forced the developers to perform emergency maintenance.
