Suppose the League of Legends official global contract database update on May 26 is anything to go by. In that case, TSM has added another player to their roster going into the 2023 LCS Summer Split.

That means that TSM has added a sixth player as Academy mid-laner David “Insanity” Challe joins the lineup as a substitute. It is the first time TSM will have an American mid-laner in ten years.

This will be the final LCS appearance for the organization, and they will also add Lee “Ruby” Sol-min to the team. Similarly, veteran mid-laner Kim “Fenix” Jae-hun is expected to join the team after his name was sighted under TSM in the database.

North American teams are getting ready for the 2023 LCS Summer Split, which starts in a week with the playoffs on while Worlds happen in South Korea later in October.

TSM has been linked with a lot of speculations since the organization revealed a planned exit from the league for a tier-one region. Furthermore, since the offseason, the mid-lane situation has not been clear to fans, especially with the addition of another player in the summer.

TSM global head of socials Duncan Cox announced Infinity’s addition to the team as the sixth man on the team’s subreddit, pouring cold waters on the initial reports about Fenix.

The last North American-born mid-laner for the team is the current CEO of the team Andy “Reginald” Dinh, when he last played for them as a professional player in 2014. Meanwhile, according to the database, Insanity’s contract will only expire on TSM’s Summer LCS elimination.

That means that Insanity will remain with the roster as long as they are still playing on stage. TSM will start their last split in North America against Team Liquid and FlyQuest when the LCS returns for the 2023 Summer Split on June 1.
