Rare Atom has extended their winning streak to six in the 2021 LPL Spring Split after defeating eStar on Wednesday.

The highlight of the game was Rare Atom’s toplaner Cube’s death to minions.

In the week seven clash of the 2021 LPL Spring Split  Cube performed a dive in the one-on-one battle on Jayce against eStar toplaner zs’ Gnar on the lane. He eventually succeeded in killing zs under the turret.

After receiving three turret hits in the process, Cube ended in the middle of a minions pack, and he was on the verge of losing the fight. He reignited himself and started his back to his Foutain after hiding in a bush.

Despite having a few HP left in him, everyone thought he would make it. But that seemed not to be the case when a ranged minion turned back and ran to his bush without Cube noticing it. The last hit unexpectedly killed the toplaner.

Therefore, this has put the minions in the spotlight, which occurs once in a while in League of Legends matches. Minions landing the last hit on players or neutral objectives usually turn around the game’s result, but that wasn’t the case this time around because the kill wasn’t enough to turn the tide.

RA kept the momentum after getting a rapid edge over their opponents in the first game. They eventually won the game after snowballing their way through eStar’s Nexus despite a balanced early game.

In the second game, eStaer players stod their ground in the early game as they did in the first one. They even got some kills using successful rotations from midlaner Insulator and jungler H4cker.

However, they couldn’t keep their lead after failed teamfights around the neutral objectives.  RA eventually grabbed the victory 2-0.

The victory pushed RA (7-3) into the LPL’s top four. In their last three games, they have shown solid performances.

Next on their schedule is a clash against  FunPlus Phoenix next Saturday, March 6 at 3 am CT, while eStar faces JD Gaming next Friday, March 5 at 3 am CT.
