After many companies have already cut ties with him, Dota 2 commentator Toby “TobiWan” Dawson has ceased to have any public image in esports.

The decision is coming after the former commentator was accused of sexual assault and harassment last week, which he has vehemently denied.

After saying he is not guilty of any criminal offense, Dawson released a statement on Thursday, describing the situation whereby he sees his personal history being stripped out of context as horrifying.

He further said the allegation was fictitious and then put online as fact while stating that anyone who has any score to settle with him ought to have pursued the manner legally and not rely on innuendo or evidence that couldn’t be scrutinized and both perspectives.

He, therefore, said he’ll never commentate again due to the situation he described as toxic, adding that the major focus now will be on his family and the rest of his life.

Dawson had over the years being one of Dota 2’s top commentators and had made names for himself into other esports, such as PUBG.

He was in June accused of sexual assault by Meruna, who’s dating Dawson’s longtime casting partner, Troels “syndereN” Nielsen.

Meruna, in her allegations, said Dawson is not the type that takes ‘No’ for an answer and initiated sexual activity with her against her repeated wishes. Meruna further claimed that the former commentator admitted doing it in a private conversation.

According to reports, Dawson also allegedly “slut-shamed”  the chief strategy officer at Alliance, Kelly “kellyMILKIES” Ong several years ago.

After Meruna’s allegations, syndereN and Austin “Capitalist” Walsh cut ties with Dawson. This was followed by Valve shortly thereafter by removing Dawson’s voice lines from The International 10 Battle Pass. Other companies that ended their relationship with him include Code Red Esports and Beyond the Summit.

Dawson is leaving the arena just a few days after veteran esports desk host and commentator Paul “Redeye” Chaloner also left Esport due to allegations of abuse of power and blackmailing.

Evil Geniuses had to on June 22 release another Dota 2 commentator, GranDGranT, who also allegedly sexually harassed multiple women.
