The ESL Rainbow Six Premiership has been announced to return with a doubled prize pool of £20,000 for the Winter Season.

ESL UK has is set for the return of the ESL Rainbow Six Premiership, which is an event specifically for teams in the United Kingdom and Ireland, and this time will have a £20,000 prize pool.

The huge prize pool now makes the ESL Premiership the biggest Rainbow Six esports competition outside of Premier and Major tournaments. Thus, new talents that will compete in the ESL Premiership have the opportunity to develop and get noticed by international organisations. This was the case of the former MnM roster, who after participating in the ESL Premiership, have now been signed up by world-renowned Natus Vincere.

The ESL Premiership Spring Season final was held in the Bowlers Exhibition Centre in Manchester, while the ESL Premiership Summer Season’s final was held in Leicester. However, the final of the Winter Season will hold in Manchester. From September 24th, tickets for the event will be made available.

ESL Winter Season Format

Starting from October 16th, the ESL Premiership Winter Season will have two days of play for three weeks. After that, it will have one play day for a week leading into the playoffs on November 13th. The live final will take place on November 23rd in Manchester in the Bowlers Exhibition Centre on Saturday.

Competing Teams

One of the top ESL teams will not be participating, as Team Secret has gone on to focus on international competitions. The other top teams competing are Natus Vincere, who are the current Champions, Fierce Esports’ new lineup will compete alongside ESSENCE, ‘Looking for org’ and ‘Soon to be named’. The final three teams set to qualify on September 24.

Intel has now extended its headline sponsorship of the ESL Premiership down to the end of 2019. While ESL UK also announced that Currys PC World would also be a major sponsor for the competition.
