Virtus Pro has recorded another victory over OG in the ESL One Los Angeles Online to push further their quest for the top seed for the playoffs.

In a match that VP showed the mettle of team getting back the form that made it be called a powerhouse, VP didn’t surprise their fans who were part of over 200,000 people that watched the match online.

Although OG being a top Dota 2 team, was expected to give VP a run for its money as matches between two tops teams are usually intense, but VP showed complete dominance via a decisive sweep. The match win is expected to have locked-in VP in their top seed for the playoffs.

Coming into the game, OG, which has a game behind VP, had two games due to a few odd picks in their draft. This allowed the CIS team to do whatever they wanted.

During game one, VP went for a meta draft with a Shadow Demon, Centaur Warrunner, and Grimmstroke. No[o]ne on therefor chose Necrophos, which produced a wonderful performance.

With a strategy of three Chen, OG tried making the Earthshaker work, but the Ember Spirit of SumaiL’s wasn’t giving them what they wanted.

The dominance of VP was so enormous that OG found it hard to get their first kill on time. They eventually got that when they picked off Solo at the 11th minute. At this point, VP had after a massive teamfight opened the map for farming by No[o]ne.  Due to the massive damage done by the Necrophos to OG, all hands were on deck for VP as all their recorded double-digit assists, thereby making one of the best teams in the world looked ordinary with a 36-6 route.

VP didn’t stop there as they went on to take back-to-back Axe-Techies and opened their draft, which was rounded it out with Solo’s Grimmstroke and Troll Warlord. The performance produced good control and teamfight.

OG, however, tried to get back into the game with a Monkey King and Batrider but failed to do so as with a Lone Druid for 33 being an odd final pick.

Although OG has a lot of options through SumaiL with his Monkey King, they couldn’t do much either as they tried disrupting each other’s cores.

VP, however, retreated when the two sides met in the Roshan’s Pit after getting eight kills, and they shifted their attention to the Radiant side.

Before winning the game within 40 minutes, VP, through its early buyback option, made its final move with Bakyt “Zayac” Emilzhanov’s Techies. No[o]ne continued from where he stopped this time around with Queen of Pain with a record of 12/1/14.

The win has therefore left OG behind VP as they head into the second half of the group stage.

Reacting to the win via its Twitter page, the organizer, ESL, said VP demolished OG by making them look ordinary. It further described the defeat as ass-kicking.
