One of the biggest online CS2 tournaments of the year, the Skyesports Masters 2024, is already four days in, and a lot of good and bad have happened already. While teams have been knocked out, some others have progressed.

As far as favorites go, ENCE were one of the top teams in the competition as they entered the Skyesports Masters 2024 as the highest-ranked team. However, they shockingly were the first team to be eliminated from the tournament. Quick losses to FORZE and OG ensured ENCE went out very early.

Indian Roster Gods Reign also followed them after their own double losses to both Ninjas in Pyjamas and BIG. It is believed that the Indians couldn’t cope with the level of quality they found themselves.

Gods Reign could utilize the experience from losing to two of the better teams in the tournament to prepare for a future and bigger LAN. Meanwhile, the Upper Bracket of the Skyesports Masters 2024 still has Ninjas in Pyjamas and Aurora, two of the favorites left in the tournament.

For NiP, they dropped just six rounds in two maps as they defeated Gods Reign. The roster had some bits of shakeups and makeshifting with Maxster, a newly promoted player from the academy roster, a temporary call-up player in BluePho3nix, and a new signing from B8, r1nkle.

Irrespective, the team displayed cohesion, and they could be a long-term thing at the organization. Aurora displayed more firepower than expected when they beat OG 2:0 in the opening match.

The recent addition of r3salt from FORZE has added alot of fragging output to this roster. Nevertheless, Aurora and NIP could make a Grand Final run at the Skyesports Masters 2024, especially as both teams are playing a ton of online qualifiers.

Elsewhere, Bilibili Gaming secured a spot in the 2024 League of Legends Mid-Season Invitational with a 3-2 win over Top Esports in the LPL Spring Split upper bracket final.
