The 2023 LCS Spring Split happened with a lot of excitement, and the final day of the competition was more loaded with comebacks and upset as the North American League of Legends enthusiasts and fans were thoroughly served undiluted entertainment.

After three game days in the competition, one player has continued to cement his profile as one of the best players to have ever graced the league. 100 Thieves’ AD carry Yiliang “Doublelift” Peng made 104 kills to top the kill log for the Spring Split.

His performance helped 100Thieves in the LCS last week as they finished in the top three in just his return back in the LCS.

The 29-year-old bested FlyQuest’s Lee “Prince” Chae-hwan, who had been leading the kills. The Korean finished with 101 eliminations, but he had a bigger KDA.

Doublelift’s place in the leaderboard was secured on the last day of the regular season in the match against Counter Logic Gaming, where they had a tiebreaker for third place. He recorded thirteen kills which saw the team through on that occasion.

There’s no doubting the contributions his efforts have made to the team’s success, especially the way he has guided the young players on the roster with his experience.

An example is Alan “Busio” Cwalina, who is his rookie support stating that he has been learning all through the spring split. This has resulted in a strong combination between Doublelift and Busio. This combination could grow into a serious championship contender if both players stay on together for the next few years.

Meanwhile, 100 Thieves will face a big challenge against FlyQuest in the first round of the playoffs on March 23, in a game where the two giants will go head to head. 100Thieves have been enjoying tremendous support at the split, mainly because of their star-loaded roster.
