DragonX has announced that former Griffin mid laner Jeong “Chovy” Ji-hoon and top laner, Choi “Doran” Hyeon-Joon have joined them for the 2020 season.

The will now join Deft, Keria, and Pyosik for the 2020 season, as confirmed by the organization, confirmed this in a press release.

Being former teammates with Griffin, they won throughout the 2019 season as part of a six-man roster. Doran was in the starting position in the latter stages of the summer split. Such was not the case at the world championships as Sword promptly replaced him.

Doran, who didn’t win the LCK with Griffin occupied the second place in his debut year of League of Legends.

He has now parted ways with Griffin after several weeks of controversy and contracts mismanagement with the team. As a result of this, Doran and multiple members of the lineup leave the organization.

Now that he will be teaming up at DragonX next to ADC Kim “Deft” Hyuk-kyu, Doran would also play alongside newly-promoted trainee support Ryu “Keria” Minseok and jungler Hong “Pyosik” Chang-Hyeon.

On his part, mid-laner Jeong “Chovy” Ji-hoon, who was rumored to join the team, turned down a multimillion-dollar offer from Evil Geniuses.

With the addition of the duo, DragonX will be one of the strongest teams going into the 2020 LCK season as they now look like a better version of Griffin, which has a rookie talent, and prowess in the bot lane.

Chovy in partnership with former Griffin coach Kim “cvMax” Dae-ho, and top laner Choi “Doran” Hyeon-Joon, veteran ADC Kim “Deft” Hyuk-kyu, and Ryu “Keria” Min-Seok and jungler Hong “Pyosik” Chang-Hyeon will make DragonX the team to beat as they have finalized the five-person roster.

During his two-year stint with Griffin, Chovy was successful. The 18-year-old mid laner, who is one of the more vocal players on the team, shows his talent with a high level of skill in the Korean league.

Although Griffin failed to win the LCK, after losing to KT Rolster and T1 many times, the team proved to be a competitive force.

After being second in the summer season, they progressed to the last eight of the world

championship, where Invictus Gaming ousted them.

From the look of their roaster, DragonX, with a mixture of veteran experience and rookie aggression and determination, look like one of the strongest teams going into the 2020 LCK season.
