Team Liquid has lost the quarter-final lash in the Clash Royale League (CRL) West spring season 2020 to Spacestation Gaming.
They have therefore qualified for the semifinals which hold today after the playoffs ended with defending CRL West champions, SK Gaming ousting Cream Real Betis.
Spacestation Gaming defeated the reigning world champions, Team Liquid, that was not its usual self throughout the game.
Team Liquid, which won the CRL World Finals 2019, couldn’t find themselves in the same form today as they lost the two-versus-two and the first one-versus-one sets back-to-back.
Although Diego “DiegoB” Becerra helped Liquid to defeat Spacestation Gaming’s Tsimafei “LaPoKaTi” Lapanik 2-1 in the second one-versus-one set, after being on the losing side in the first game of the set, DiegoB had the last laugh in the next two must-win matches, which took the series to the fourth set, and they won.
Nicholas “thegod_rf” Kublin took down Cristian “KaNaRiOoo” Hernandez 2-0 in this one-versus-one set for Spacestation Gaming.
After winning the duel, Spacestation Gaming has joined the other three semi-finalists of the CRL West 2020 spring season as they boo a date with Tribe Gaming today.
SK Gaming progressed to the last four in the second quarter-finals clash after ousting Cream Real Betis.
Spectacularly starting the clash, SK Gaming won the two-versus-two set 2-0 after Samuel “xopsam” Klotz and Morten “Morten” Mehmert helped them to secure a clean sweep over their opponents, with Yeray “Yeray” Rodriguez Soriano and Deigo “DiegoE” Enrique having no answers to the assault.
Although Cream Real Betis tried coming back into the game by winning the next two-versus-one sets, SK Gaming took the game to them and emerged winner in the third one-versus-one set. Morten was on top of his game after taking down Cream’s Yeray 2-0.
This extended the game to a fourth set, and SK took the game. With this win, SK’s quest for another CRL West trophy is still alive.
