Ahead of the free agency market, which opens today, 100 Thieves has reached a verbal agreement with Golden Guardians to buy out jungler, and AD carry FBI contracts.

The League of Legends reporter Travis Gafford reported that the deal would take effect at 6 pm CT when the LCS free-agent market opens on November 16.

It was gathered that there would be an exchange between the two organizations, but what remains unclear is the amount 100 Thieves sent to Golden Guardians to buy out the ADC clause.

FBI’s exit is expected to be followed by top laner Hauntzer, who will be a free agent when the market opens later today.

This will leave some gaps in the roaster of Golden Guardians, which they will need to fill this offseason.

In the 2020 season, Golden Guardians experienced a successful outing, finishing in a tie for fifth in the LCS Summer playoffs, to the surprise of many.

Unfortunately, they might end up not building on this reasonably solid foundation with the exit of their two leading players. It means that the organization will be starting from scratch heading into 2021.

However, this will be a boost to the roaster of 100 Thieves, with FBI expected to stroll into the team’s starting lineup.

100 Thieves had experienced a down year in 2020. This led them to release veteran AD carry Cody Sun last week. So, FBI is expected to take his spot on the roster while there will be two younger players coming on board for the 2021 season.

This means the organization has set its priorities towards the development of young players with high ceilings.

We all can’t wait to see players moving across several teams as the offseason transfer begins a few hours from now.
