TSM’s League of Legends squad seem to have gotten a replacement for Maple just before they head into the 2023 Summer Split. The potential replacement has been identified as Team Heretics midlaner, who is expected to come in for Maple after reports indicated that he now has an agreement with TSM.

This means that Ruby will leave the LEC Spanish team Herectics and join the North American team in the League of Legends.

Ironically, Ruby hasn’t been productive for Heretics, who failed to progress to the group stage of the LEC Winter Split. The whole team was disappointing as they were eliminated quickly.

On the other hand, TSM hasn’t exactly struggled like Heretics, but they have not been outstanding either in the first part of the season, missing the playoff bracket with a spring record of 8-10 and the second time in their history that they will be in such position.

That outcome saw a couple of players leave the team, and Maple became the latest, while general manager Glen Yang and team manager Kristine Huang also left. The team still has the top laner to fill, as it still remains vacant on the roster.

Despite the exits, one of the players who have remained includes 2023 substitute Hauntzer, who remains signed to the org. Recently, reports stated that TSM might sell its LCS franchise spot due to financial struggles.

However, until that happens, Ruby’s move into North America means that he becomes part of the few players who have played in Europe and NA in the same season. Furthermore, this will be his fourth different region in the LCS, having previously played in the PCS and LPL.

Meanwhile, his debut for TSM is expected on June 1, when TSM’s LCS Summer Split journey gets underway.
