The 2024 season has already begun busy for Puppey’s Team Secret as they have been forced into making multiple changes for the 2024 season. Puppey’s Team Secret missed Dota 2’s The International 2023 and finished in seventh place at ESL One Kuala Lumpur.

Puppey’s Team Secret has sent Yeik “MidOne” Nai Zheng from the roster, replacing him with Singaporean junior Teng “Kordan” Tjin Yao into the mid lane.

The exit of MidOne was forced, and it came as a shock for someone who made a return to Team Secret in the latter part of 2023 after spending three years on two different teams, OG and Team SMG.

The situation has left the veteran searching for a new team with the new season approaching. Nevertheless, while everyone is asking questions about MidOne’s next destination, his 21-year-old replacement will be deeply scrutinized in the interim.

Kordan is the youngster coming in, but unlike his predecessor, he’s not as popular. he played with veterans all through 2023 with Bleed Esports. Some of the SEA veterans include Daryl “iceiceice” Koh and Kim “DuBu” Doo-young. Together, they won the Tour Three title in June after passing through the Dota Pro Circuit.

They defeated the likes of Blacklist International and Execration to secure an appearance at their “home” Major in Bali.

Their victories over BetBoom and Azure Ray were not enough for Kordan and Bleed to secure a playoff appearance after a lost tiebreaker. A month later, they failed to secure the only SEA spot at TI 2023.

Nevertheless, all of these did not stop Kordan from making a name for himself in the mid-lane, and he’s now got an opportunity to establish himself further with one of the biggest names in Dota in Secret.

On the other hand, Marcel “Ekki” Hołowienko held the assistant coach role at Secret last September. After that, he left to be a part of Wisla Krakow and TSM. However, his journey back to Secret will not be in a coaching role.
