The forgotten Brazilian squad team in 2016 at Luminosity Gaming and SK Gaming that won both Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Majors that year is coming back.

O Plano, the Brazilian organization founded by Vito “kNgV-” Giuseppe has announced its return to Counter-Strike 2. The organization is returning to the server with Brazilian CS royalty in the form of Lincoln “fnx” Lau, Fernando “fer” Alvarenga, Epitácio “TACO” de Melo, and Ricardo “boltz” Prass.

kNgV will be the captain of the team, which has three team members who attained CS glory with LG, and SK returned with O Plano. Only two member players are not returning with the LG and SK core.

That core’s mastermind in-game leader Gabriel “FalleN” Toledo and hall of fame rifler Marcelo “coldzera” David are the duo who are not returning with the team.

KNgV-‘s old version of O Plano stayed in the country throughout last year, as the squad failed to post any results domestically all through 2023 after the departure of veteran coach Wilton “zews” Prado.

Despite the exit, the roster was able to stay together till October, before O Plano pulled the plug in November aftermath of the early exits in the lower tier of Brazilian CS.

Although it is a new lineup from O Plano, far from the lineup fielded through 2023, fans may be worried over the lack of player activity as only kNgV and boltz recorded any time on the server last year. Fnx and Fer have yet to record a single official in CS2.

The lineup is rich in quality and experience, but they will need to first break through the domestic scene before bothering about playing in a Major.

O Plano’s squad will start their journey to a potential appearance at the PGL Copenhagen Major with the RMR qualifiers, which started on Monday, January 8.
