Reports say Team Falcons has sealed a deal to bring former multi-time Major winner from Astralis to join the Saudi Arabian-backed roster. This is coming just weeks after they fell short of qualifying for the PGL Copenhagen CS2 Major.

It is Peter “dupreeh” Rasmussen, who will join Team Falcons and also reunite with former Astralis and Vitality teammates Emil “Magisk” Reif and Danny “zonic” Sørensen. Dupreeh is the record holder for both total Major appearances and Major wins.

The trio won three Majors together with Astralis, and the final CS:GO Major at BLAST Paris with Team Vitality made four Majors. Before Magisk’s joined Dupreeh and Zonic at the Danish club, the duo won the ELEAGUE Atlanta Major in 2017.

The three players left Vitality in the final months of 2023, azonic and Magisk headed straight for Team Falcons but dupreeh went to Heroic during a turbulent time at the organization marked by the departure of the Heroic longtime captain cadiaN.

Starters Stavn and Jabbi also controversially joined Astralis, while Dupreeh moved around rosters before joining Danish organization Preasy Esports approaching 2024.

Meanwhile, Team Falcons are also navigating a troublesome period, but the team has been linked to many big men transfer moves with the likes of NiKo, m0NESY, and Twistzz linked to the team in late 2023, but neither deals materialize.

Eventually, they put together a roster that eventually reached the semifinals of IEM Katowice, but a sloppy RMR performance ensured they missed out on attending the Major.

Falcons signed superstar s1mple on loan from NAVI ahead of the BLAST Spring Showdown and benched one of its starters.

S1mple has not ruled out the possibility of returning to the starting NAVI roster after the Major, although Team Falcons could make a substantial offer on the legendary player.
