Former Fnatic and Apeks initiator player and tier-one talent Enzo Mestari is making a return to the EMEA league after reportedly reaching a verbal agreement with Team Liquid to join them in 2024.

The French player left Fnatic in November last year, moved into an IGL role, and helped Apeks get into the Ascension EMEA finals in July 2023. The performance with the mixed European team has created an opportunity to join a strong EMEA team.

However, this will mean he will face his former Fnatic teams. Enzo Mestari was one of the many tier-one stars who couldn’t get into a franchised team in 2023 VALORANT.

Fnatic did better in 2023 than Enzo did, even though he established himself in 2022 as one of the clutch masters in LAN and environments, as well as a top region initiator. One of the matches that Enzo proved himself was at the Stage Two Master in July 2022 in Copenhagen against Leviatán.

The final map went to an extended overtime, and Fnatic were one round away from losing before Enzo won a one-vs-three clutch by getting two kills and sticking a defuse.

However, Fnatic didn’t get to the same heights at Champions 2022, as they lost to DRX and secured a top-six place.

Afterward, Enzo was replaced with Timofey “Chronicle” Khromov at Fnatic as Enzo became a free agent but subsequently joined a Challengers team to compete on his way back into franchising.

With Apeks, he went close to earning a place at the final series of Ascension for the EMEA region, only for Apeks to be ousted 3-0 by an all-French team, Gentle Mates. During the offseason ahead of the 2024 season, Enzo got linked to major EMEA teams, like Karmine Corp, Giants Gaming, and Liquid, but it is Liquid who has managed to get him.
