VALORANT Challengers team Disguised (DSG) are taking a new approach for the upcoming VCT 2024 season after a rather disappointing VCT 2023 season.

Disguised (DSG) has entered into a partnership with Ascension winner and Pacific partner BLEED Esports for the upcoming VCT 2024 with the aim to support top SEA talent and entertain the community with engagements, amongst others.

This was released in an official press release on Thursday, Jan. 25, revealing the plans by DSG and BLEED to come together to support a VALORANT team in the Malaysia/Singapore region. The team will consist of a combination of local talents and some former BLEED VALORANT players.

DSG’s competitive VALORANT journey, which started in 2023 with a roster of athletes for VCT Challengers, has not been anything close to smooth, with several roster shuffles during the season.

To make matters worse, the roster was eventually disbanded, with the organization going into the Game Changers circuit, which was more or less a failure.

After going into partnership with Bleed, Disguised is hoping to break into VCT Pacific after officially exiting the North American scene.

BLEED won the Ascension in 2023, and they intend to keep focus on the partnership league and remain close to where it all started, according to the words of BLEED COO Ian Huston.

Meanwhile, CEO Disguised Toast, while speaking of the DSG x BLEED partnership, explained that he had always wanted to expand to Asia and build DSG as a global brand.

“I lived in Malaysia from age 1 to 13 and haven’t visited since, so I’m excited to make a return. A huge thank you to BLEED for supporting us through this whole process and helping us build a roster. Fans can expect DSG to be visiting the SEA region this year.” Toast shared.
