One of Overwatch 2’s most talked about heroes, Sojourn, has continued to rile up controversies despite a balance patch that was done on Tuesday.
The balance patch is the seventh she will undergo since December after being a target of two nerfs in the last month of 2022.
The Railgun is believed to be one of the strongest assets of Sojourn, and players and users have demanded that developers nerf her. This is because they believe Sojourn makes games in meta imbalanced.
Tuesday’s balance patch is still not convincing for some users who believe that it is not enough as the player still remains popular in the meta among players.
The latest nerf is the third she will undergo, but some parts of the committee believe it is coming late, while others want the Railgun feature nerfed. This, they believe, will eliminate its one-shot damage on heroes, but developers reduced her energy gain rate instead.
Asides from Sojourn, the balance patch was done on Roadhog, Orisa, and Kiriko on Tuesday. It is expected that Sojourn will be a favorite for players in the lower levels of the player base. Higher ranks of players may go for another hitscan or even Cassidy.
There most likely won’t be another nerf anytime soon, meaning that Sojourn will remain in the same state for a while.
Elsewhere, Ninjas in Pyjamas have been forced to make a tweak to their roster in the middle of the BLAST Premier: Spring Groups 2022.
Unexpected personal issues have forced Hampus “hampus” Poser to leave the camp of the team while Max “maxster” Jansson will replace him.
Max “maxster” Jansson will be making his NiP debut in S-tier tournament after joining NiP academy in March 2022.
The organization went on to assure fans that an assessment will be done before the start of IEM Katowice 2023 Play-In stage on January 31.
