Boombl4’s anticipated return to professional CS:GO is getting closer after officially joining Russian side 1WIN on Wednesday just before the start of the BLAST Paris Major’s European RMR closed qualifier.

The former in-game leader with Natus Vincere has been away from the game professionally for nine months, and his return was earlier reported by OverDrive last month.

The 1WIN team will be coached by Dmitry “hooch” Bogdanov, and the team will have Aleksandr “TRAVIS” Timkiv, Denis “deko” Zhukov, Igor “Forester” Bezotecheskiy, and the other coach Vadim “MSE” Zimin.

The team will play at the BLAST Paris Major’s European RMR closed qualifier on February 16, and Boombl4’s debut with 1WIN will happen at the competition. They will also participate in the upper-bracket quarterfinals of ESL Challenger League season 44 Europe against Endpoint on March 7.

Boombl4 was dropped as high reputational risk from NAVI’s roster in May 2022, and he has since been on the sidelines.

He featured in some matches with BEBRA’s mixed team playing three games with them, and he spent his time mostly making rap music as his contract ran down until January 1, 2023, at Natus Vincere.

Despite his experience as Natus Vincere’s in-game leader, it’s not stated yet if Boombl4 will perform in the same capacity at 1WIN. NickelBack is also a possibility after serving as an in-game leader throughout his career.

Elsewhere in the LCK, a 17-year-old is running the show in the 2023 LCK Spring Split after four weeks of play in the League of Legends.

Gen. G’s rising AD carry prospect Kim “Peyz” Su-hwan has been posting tremendous numbers with 94 kills in 19 games played. He also has the second-highest KDA with Yoo “Delight” Hwan-Joong, who has a 7.4 KDA with 191 assists, the only player eclipsing him.
