Swedish veteran IGL hampus will be part of Bleed Esports CS2 team in 2024 after they confirmed his move after Christmas. Bleed have serious intentions as they make an entry into the CS2 scene.

The appointment of longtime CS:GO coach Aleksandar “kassad” Trifunović in November confirmed their intentions to play in CS2 as the Serbian was assigned to our together a competitive roster for Bleed’s CS2 project.

The Serbian has made his first signing after a month and plenty of anticipation, going for Hampus, who has an enviable résumé in CS:GO.

Hampus’s first years as a pro were spent as a journeyman, but the Swede stabilized at Ninjas in Pyjamas, playing for the team for three years between 2020 and 2023.

The majority of his years at the organization saw him function as the in-game leader for the Major-winning organization, and he is expected to replicate the role at Bleed. However, the 25-year-old may find it difficult to adapt to CS2 as he’s more experienced in CS:GO, and has never played a professional game of CS2.

However, that doesn’t mean Bleed has made a wrong choice going into their CS2 business, as they have recruited one of the more respectable coaches on the scene and took their time unveiling their first player on the roster.

Furthermore, signing Hampus first shows Kassad is sticking to his intentions that the first two positions he will fill are that of the in-game leader and the primary AWPer.

Singaporean organization Bleed has a brand they have established by participating in and recording success in esports in the form of VALORANT, Dota 2, and Rainbow Six Siege. The CS2 project they have embarked on is the first time that they will be moving out of the Asian sphere and embracing a more international roster.
