One of the biggest names in the whole of Counter-Strike has failed to qualify for a Major for the third consecutive time, and they have been forced to return to the drawing board.

Astralis, have made changes to their roster including moving the in-game leader Benjamin “blameF” Bremer to the bench with the possibility of sale in mind. The team’s interim head coach and former assistant Mathias “R0nic” Pinholt has been released and replaced by former OG, OpTic and Nortg personnel, Casper “ruggah” Due.

All of these were announced in a statement by the team’s director of sports, Kasper Straube, which revealed that the decision to bench blameF was because of a mismatch in profiles and roles and that a n ew IGL will be announced shortly soon.

Astralis ended their PGL Copenhagen European RMR B with a 2-3 record and a 2-0 loss to 9Pandas, who picked the ticket to Copenhagen in the decider bracket. Their run at the RMR saw them lose to domestic rival Heroic and former IGL gla1ve’s team on ENCE, thus forcing them to make those moves.

On Thursday morning, the organization, Monte, and Alexander “br0” Bro reached an agreement on a transfer, while Nicolai “dev1ce” Reedtz assumed the role of team captain and in-game leader.

Kasper Straube, Sports Director of Astralis, maintained that the team quality is a priority.

“Our top priority has been to find a player who can step into the team and create space for the other four to move into their favorite positions. Alexander “br0″ fits perfectly here. He was a standout player on an extremely successful talent team and chose to seek international experience after his run on the talent squad. It’s a pleasure for us to complete the circle and bring a former talent player back to the main team in this way.” Kasper Straube said.
