Agent player skins will be absent when the Paris CS:GO Major gets underway after the
participating teams reached an agreement to stop using it for the tournament.
This was revealed in a tweet after the series on May 9 between G2 eSports and Apeks
as Justinas “jL” Lekavicius confirmed that the decision not to use it is in response to a
hitboxes issue. CS:GO agent skins became part of the game in November 2019, and
despite being around for five years, the hitbox issues still persist.
Some of them have and get a bigger hitbox, while others get small hitboxes, and some
blend into particular maps well. This gives some teams an advantage with some agents
on different maps.
The competition organizers want to maintain the competitive integrity of the tournament,
which has led to the pros reaching an agreement to not use them at the Paris CS:GO
Major with backing from the community in support of the decision.
JL’s use of one of the skins in Apeks and G2’s series, where he used it on Anubis and
switched it off, later sparked conversations on social media, but he later admitted that it
wasn’t his intention to use it and that he forgot to take it off.

Meanwhile, in LoL, the MSI 2023 saw MAD Lions give an iconic performance against T1
on Wednesday, the third day of the 2023 Mid-Season Invitational. MAD Lions faced T1
in Wednesday’s game one, and they were already 7,000 gold lead in fifteen minutes in
multiple picks over the map. The performance was quite shocking as the usually
dominant T1 team were bullied by MAD Lions.
Eventually, T1 bounced back after MAD Lions lost focus as they dominated the LEC
champions across Summoner’s Rift.
T1 then recorded the second-fastest win at an international LoL esports tournament in
the third and final game after blazing 16 minutes and 50 seconds to a victory.
