Edward Gaming seemed to be flying high with their new selection as they recorded a dominant victory in their 2021 LPL Spring Split regular season against Rare Atom.

In the one-sided League of Legends series,  EDG outplayed their opponents on all fronts, from drafts to individual player performances. Jungler Jiejie and bottom laner Viper picked up the MVP awards for their stellar performances on Lillia and Xayah. The duo has consistently been catalysts for EDG in their strong display of skill throughout the split.

In the 2-0 series win,  EDG proved to be the better team on the rift, taking down RA cleanly.

RA had already qualified for the playoffs, having been the dark horses in the LPL, picking up stable wins throughout the split. Although they are not an outstanding side like many other teams topping the standings, they have been decent so far in their gameplay.

However, they had no answer to the challenges posed by EDG on Sunday. The winners went on a rampage with top-notch gameplay.

The victory takes EDG’s record to 13-3 as they concluded their regular season in second place in the 2021 LPL Spring Split standings. This has been the result of the dominant performances of their organization in recent times.

Viper has proved himself in the game, showing that he can play on a high level with diverse ADC picks. This has made him one of the most flexible players in the league.

Having secured the second spot, EDG will begin the playoffs on April 8 against the third-round winners in the King of the Hill bracket.

In another development, T1 also rounded out their 2021 LCK Spring Split regular season with a dominant win over Hanwha Life Esports. The 2-0 extended their winning streak to five games.

The bottom lane of T1, Teddy, and Keria was impressive as they shined in this League of Legends series by nullifying their opponents’ impact with diverse matchups.
