Teams continue to prepare their respective rosters for the 2023 Overwatch; although a couple is yet to name a player at all, some are already making a big name addition to their roster.

A two-time Overwatch League winner, Park “Viol2t” Min-ki, will join the Houston Outlaws after the team’s announcement in Monday. The former San Francisco Shock support is the final piece of their roster as he is tagged as the franchise’s “final piece of the puzzle.

Viol2t was with San Francisco Shock for four years after joining them in 2018 from Contenders team O2 Ardeont. He was a consistent member of the main team for Shock as they won the championship seasons in 2019 and 2020.

Viol2t is one of the most flexible players in Overwatch League with his prowess in flex support and for his fondness for using Ana and Zenyatta.

Also, he deployed Cassidy in San Francisco and moved into DPS when the meta changed while he learned Lucio to help the team’s backline. He may continue in the same Lucio role in Houston as Kim “Shu” Jin-seo, a former flex support at Los Angeles Gladiators.

The team setup is good enough for any possible evolution of Meta, which may potentially demand a dual flex support setup with Shu and Viol2t in the team.

Houston already has their five-player deadline, which is set for March 13, but the team still needs one more player to complete the roster before the season starts.

The team, apart from Viol2t and Shu, joins the two players that the outlaws’ holdover from 2022, DPS Oh “Pelican” Se-hyun, as well as hitscan Lee “Happy” Jung-woo and 2022 Overwatch League champion, tank Lee “Fearless” Euiseok.

The Pro-Am tournament that begins on March 23 will kickstart the 2023 Overwatch League season.
