Information just reaching us says almost the entire tickets for the playoffs of VALORANT
Champions 2022 were sold an hour after they went live on Wednesday morning.
The Turkish ticket hub Biletix which revealed this, also said tickets for the grand finals sold
out in roughly half an hour.
VALORANT Champions will be held in the Volkswagen Arena in Istanbul, Turkey.
The organisers released the tickets for the playoffs live at 9 am CT on August 24, with the
Turkish VALORANT Twitter account sharing the first link while the main VALORANT Esports
account tweeted out the link just a few minutes later.
With this latest development, fans wanting to attend the grand finals would have to have
grabbed their tickets for September 18 within the first hour because tickets for that day
have completely sold out.
This is because the tickets remaining for each of the other days at the time of writing are
few. They include the ones on the lower bracket and upper bracket final days that will be
sold live on September 16 and 17.
According to reports, the tickets for those days could go as high as ₺260.00, but that only
roughly translates to around $15.
Meanwhile, further information on the few remaining tickets is that there is a limit of four
tickets available for purchase per person per day.
The Champions – the second official world championship for VALORANT will be largely
different from last year in terms of the schedule of play and qualification conditions.
For instance, the playoffs have been switched to a double-elimination format instead of
single-elimination. Furthermore, the playoffs will be played in front of a crowd for the first
time at a world championship.
This is also the second international VALORANT event to be played in front of a crowd after
VCT Masters Copenhagen last month.
As things stand, there will be a new world champion. Last year’s winners, Acend, failed to
make it past the EMEA Last Chance Qualifier.
Come August 31, VALORANT Champions will officially begin with the group stage action.
