Team vitality is in the news again as there are reports coming in that former Fnatic marksman Elias “Upset” Lipp will join the team as starting AD carry for the next Split.

His potential return means LEC will see one of their prodigious talents in the new season. Upset has not enjoyed a good start to the year at Fnatic, having been forced to the bench due to the return of longtime veteran Martin “Rekkles” Larsson.

The 23-year-old will strengthen the Vitality roster should the move gets finalized and make them one of the strongest rosters in the LEC.

Team Vitality were formidable in the last split after recording a 7-2 And finished in first place, becoming favorites for the championship. Unfortunately, they couldn’t replicate the same form at the Winter Split group stage after losing four matches in a row to KOI and SK Gaming, a shocking result to LEC enthusiasts.

A roster move was expected by fans and analysts, and upset seems to be the best fit after his performance for Fnatic in his last season. He was rated as one of the best marksmen in his class based on performance.

He was one of the top five in early game statistics, Kills, kill share, and KDA at the 2022 LEC Summer Split. He also rated the fourth-highest average damage to champions per minute in the league.

His performance was demanding for some of the other hyper-carry champs, including Aphelios, Zeri, Jinx, and Xayah. It’s not surprising for a player like him, who has had countless play-offs experience and has been consistently playing some of the best eSports players all over the globe.

He definitely will be an asset to the team and help the Vitality roster ahead of the 2023 LEC Spring Split that will kick off on March 11.
