Social media posts on Monday have revealed that eSports organization Team SoloMid may lay off more staff and workers, according to two posts on social media by two ex-workers.

In 2022, TSM did layoffs twice, in July and another in November last year, with over 20 staff affected in one of those layoffs. However, the latest discharge hasn’t been confirmed or denied by TSM representatives who didn’t answer questions, especially as regards the departments affected.

TSM has been in the news consistently in the esports industry after they announced intentions to leave the North American League of Legends Championship Series.

TSM was one of the most notable members of the North American League of Legends Championship Series., and was a consistent competitor in the region for over a decade. TSM’s League of Legends department had managerial issues to deal with before the exit, which eventually meant that the organization left other leagues aside from League of Legends.

Barely a year after winning Rainbow Six: Siege’s world championship, the Six Invitational, TSM exited the space, lost its spot, and released its players. As it stands, it’s left to be seen if TSM will recover its lost glory, especially after a series and string of controversies.

One of the controversies that the organization was meddled in was that of its naming rights sponsor with a cryptocurrency exchange company, which TSM had to address via a statement.

“To be clear, TSM is built on a solid foundation. We are stable and profitable, and we continue to forecast profitability for this year, next year, and beyond. We look forward to a great year in 2023.” TSM posted in a statement.

However, with barely three months left in the year, TSM has obviously not had a great year in 2023, talkless of its numerous workers who have had to leave.
