After the CS: GO break, players can’t wait for the start of ESL Pro League season 16, beginning on the 31st of August.
ESL has, therefore, ahead of the start of season 16, released the full schedule and groups for the upcoming group stages.
Group A seems stacked with top teams, which include NAVI, Vitality, Ninjas in Pyjamas, Team Spirit, Team Endpoint, and Fnatic.
This is a group featuring three top-10 teams according to HLTV’s world rankings, including two of the top five; NAVI and Vitality.
Many will be looking forward as NAVI and Spirit lock horns in the opening match at 5:30 am CT on Wednesday, the 31st of August.
In group B, there is the reigning Major champions, ESL Pro League champions, and IEM Cologne champions, FaZe Clan, that will be playing against Outsiders, G2, BIG, MIBR, and For The Win.
It could be recalled that MIBR and FTW qualified via the Conference stage.
There are also three top-10 HLTV ranked teams in group C. They include MOUZ, ENCE, and Astralis. Others include season 14 champions and now officially partnered team Heroic, Complexity, and HEET Gaming.
Group D contains Cloud9, Evil Geniuses, Eternal Fire, FURIA, Liquid, and Movistar Riders.
According to the schedule, each team will play the other five teams in their respective group during their group’s match week.
The schedule also shows that each week will feature five days of matches, with three matches a day and each team playing once a day.
Only the top three teams from each group will advance to the playoffs.
Meanwhile, the No. 1 team in each group will receive a direct bye to the quarterfinals, while the playoffs will be a single-elimination bracket.
With the schedule revealed and each team knowing their respective opponents, it is expected to be top class act as the team jostles for the ultimate prize
Before getting there, the fans can’t wait to see how their respective teams will perform in the group stage.
