T1’s ZOFGK roster is one with rich history that has helped gathered a lot fans and supporters over the years. The roster’s quality is well known, but their time together may have come to an end. This is because their contracts will soon expire, and the organization is planning a new roster.
The roster is one of the most iconic in the history of eSports and they might be going into their last tournament for T1 which makes them even more difficult to play against as they would want to go out on a high as they play the tournament in uncertain conditions for their future.
The likes of Zeus, Oner, Faker, Gumayusi, and Keria have made up the ZOFGK lineup that competed within the League of Legends esports since 2022. They won the LCK Spring 2022 and the World Championship 2023 to cement their status as one of the top-tier teams in this game’s history.
By the time the team got ready for the 2024 World Championship began, the fans were already expecting alot from the five five players. However, four players out of five on the roster will run out of contract by November 17, 2024, which is after the 2024 World Championship must have ended.
The four player whose contract will expire in the next week’s are Zeus, Oner, Gumayusi, and Keria while the only other individual is Faker, whose contract has been extended till November 18, 2025.
One of the players on the roster, Oner, is hoping that the roster stays together at T1.
“Even if this roster breaks apart next year, my main focus is on winning Worlds this year, and I want to put in as much effort as possible until the end. Regardless of what happens after Worlds, I’m ready to handle it.” Oner said.
Any possible contract talks may likely be after the World Championships, but the military service commitment for some players makes their contract talks complex.
