T1 has barely had any issues in the 2024 LCK Spring Split, but they got found out against Gen.G despite being one of the best and scariest League of Legends teams in the world.
T1 hadn’t lost to any team this season until they faced Gen.G and a second meeting between both teams has not ended well for T1 as they failed to get their revenge.
The clash was their second series of the split, but rather unexpectedly, the defending World Champions were defeated in a one-sided encounter. Gen.G were extremely too hot to handle by T1 in the series, as they were only able to take two turrets in the whole game.
On the other hand, Gen.G racked up 13 kills in the 26-minute shellacking, while T1 couldn’t even do a single elimination. T1 managed to up their game in the second game of the series, and they managed some numbers with seven kills, which still wasn’t enough as Gen. G’s superstar AD carry, Kim “Peyz” Su-hwan, was unstoppable.
Despite the fact that the 18-year-old made 10 kills on Kalista, it was his fellow bottom lane partner Son “Lehends” Si-woo who took the Player of the Game honors due to his efforts on Renata Glasc, where he had 13 assists.
Before the playoffs, when T1 will have opportunities to try and get another championship to their cabinet, they will face Dplus KIA and Hanwha Life Esports in their next set of games. Gen.G have earned a place at the top of the regular season standings.
Meanwhile, in the weekend’s debut of the LEC Spring Split 2024, Team Vitality went past Team Heretics on Saturday to win their first of the regular season. Fiery Fledgling Smolder had a winning first day in the LEC with Vitality, and he is hoping for more as the competition continues.
