The League of Legends’ 2024 edition of the World Championship may only be a couple of weeks away, but it is already at risk of losing one of the key players of one of its biggest challengers.

The challenger affected is a major Chinese organization whose superstar mid laner may not feature in the competition, as reports claim he is out even before the tournament starts.

Lee” Scou” Ye-chan, the starting mid laner for LNG Esports, is on the brink of sitting out of the League Worlds 2024 because of an active civil lawsuit between him and Edward Gaming.

Korean news outlets are reporting that his old organization sued the 26-year-old after his transfer to LNG at the end of 2022. The issue also involves a reported travel ban that, if enforced, could make Scout miss the whole Swiss stage of Worlds 2024.

Unfortunately for LNG, they do not possess an alternative mid-laner on their roster; in fact, the team has just one sub, jungler Zhao” Shad0″ Zhi-Qiang. In spite of this situation, the organization can call on some of the players in their Academy team, although they must get permission from Riot to be able to play Gong” doin'” Heng-Jie asScout’ss replacement.

However, it is going to be a huge shoe for Doing to fill, as Scout has been regarded as one of the world’s best mid-laners in the last couple of years. He broke out after graduating fromT1’ss trainee program before moving over to Edward Gaming.

He won several LPL trophies with the organization and theSummoner’ss Cup, his first of many, with the team in 2021. After an early exit at the 2022World’ss, he moved on from the team, and at LNGhe’ss been pushing their target of making them a top-three team in the world’s most competitive regions in the world.
