It seems that Dota 2 legend Roman “Resolut1on” Fominok isn’t done yet with the competitive Dota 2 scene despite all he has achieved as a player who has multiple notable accomplishments in his career.

In January, the player mooted retirement after stating that perhaps it’s time to change the field and study some other things he was interested in, but that seems to have changed as the player is set to make a return on two of the most significant competitions this year.

Resolut1on hasn’t won the International Championship, and he is ready to change his competitive status in the Pro Dota 2 scene in order to achieve one of his big goals this year.

His ambition for returning is with the Riyadh Masters 2024 and the International 2024 (Ti12). Even during his break, Resolut1on was not completely away from the Dota 2 competition as his prominent personality made him get regular streaming and Caster or Analyst Roles at Valve Events.

Resolut1on’s last significant feat was with dark horses, Team Secret at Ti11, a team he joined only two months before the competition. Many fans believe he is the reason the team finished well with a first runner-up finish at the ti championship, a feat he once reached with Digital Chaos at Ti6.

Resolut1on can be a very inspiring member even without having to play, considering another memorable instance during Ti7 when resolut1on wasn’t active at the event. Nevertheless, when Team Empire needed a stand-in due to the unavailability of one of their players, resolut1on rose up to help the team, who were underdogs prior to the competition, to an inspiring seventh place.

The Riyadh Masters 2024 kicks off in early July, and some of the qualified teams are Team Falcons, Betboom Team, Gaimin Gladiators, and Team Liquid.
