MOUZ’s trip to the IEM Sydney this week was affected by the delay in the issuance of a visa for Finnish star Jimi “Jimpphat” Salo as the CS: GO’s final event champions MOUZ may have to play the competition without the player whose attendance in Australia is still very much in doubt.

This has forced MOUZ to turn to their academy roster for help, with a youngster already taking the opportunity with both hands.

Bram “Nexius” Campana was only playing for MOUZ NXT at CCT just last week, helping beat several tier-three European squads. However, on Monday, he played his first international LAN and dominated easily despite playing against some of the iconic teams like NAVI.

The youngster credited his teammates for his ease in settling in, as he had only a week to prepare for the event.

“I only knew a week before the event. [MOUZ] called me up and said, ‘We’re having some issues getting a visa for Jimpphat,’ so they asked me to prepare my visa and make sure I was ready to go in case there was a chance the issues continued. I’m in a totally different role; I normally play really aggressive roles so it’s a bit of a change-up playing a more passive, anchor, or lurk role. I think these guys are doing an amazing job at making me feel comfortable. I’m not nervous or stressed; I’m really enjoying my time, and it’s all because of their approach and getting me in the mood.” Nexius said.

Despite the urgency of his mobilization into the team, the nineteen-year-old helped MOUZ to two wins on Monday after having to substitute for Jimpphat’s role in the team.

MOUZ will take on BetBoom in the upper bracket final on Oct. 18, with a win locking the ESL Pro League champions into a semi-final berth.
