The League of Legends Pro League (LPL) kicked off on Monday, January 22. The professional esports league based in China followed the LCK, LEC, and LCS that kicked off over the week.

Seventeen LPL teams will face off in a round-robin format in the LPL Spring Split 2024. A total of 136 Bo3s will be played in the next nine weeks by these 17 teams in a bid to qualify for the playoffs.

From there, ten teams will get to the next stage of the competition while the top two teams will directly go through to the playoffs semifinals.

The LPL Spring Split 2024 Opening Game will be between Bilibili Gaming vs. Top Esports [10:00 AM CET]. BLG rejigged their roster during the off-season by adding Knight to their mid lane.

They brought in a man who had an amazing year on JDG, along with the proven talent of Bin, Xun, Elk, ON, and returning LvMao, who dominated Demacia Cup 2023, where Knight was named the MVP of the tournament.

Meanwhile, Top Esports themselves did some shuffles of their own by bringing in JDG’s 369 and Oh My God’s ‘Outstanding Rookie’ of 2021 Creme to solidify their roster. They also dominated their group at the Demacia Cup 2023 before losing to JDG in the opening round of the playoffs.
