With the roster lock for the BLAST Premier Fall Groups approaching, Team Liquid has made multiple major changes to its Counter-Strike 2 squad. The organization has started making roster moves, finalizing their squad, and registering new players despite the fact that there are still a few days to go in the summer break.
Players are being registered on the organization’s roster for some select tournaments, which includes BLAST Premier Fall Groups. The latest players that Team Liquid has reportedly registered are Australian star Justin “jks” Savage and young Polish prodigy Roland “Ultimate” Tomkowiak.
Jks is popular with CS2 fans who have played for G2 and Renegades in CS2. The Renegades roster he was involved with was briefly under 100 Thieves. Roland “ultimate” Tomkowiak maybe barely be 20, but he has been able to rack up experience since bursting onto the domestic scene in 2020, participating in local tournaments and the Polish Esport League.
His major appearance on the big stage came in 2022 at the ESL Pro League Season 15 as a part of AGO. Meanwhile, Ultimate is known to be an AWPer, but Twistzz is the most likeliest to get the in-game leader role as it is unlikely Liquid will give the duties to jks in the upcoming tournaments.
Team Liquid has had a lot of shuffles in its roster in the last weeks as the team benched cadiaN midway into June, and separated with coach zews. Zews’ position hasn’t been filled but mithR is expected to slot into that role.
MithR had previously worked as a coach for MOUZ and Apeks. Meanwhile, a third player has left the team Skullz leaving to join FURIA, who reports claim has registered him to play for them at the Esports World Cup.
The first event that Team Liquid will play in the second season of 2024 is the BLAST Premier Fall Groups 2024, which will begin on July 29.
