North America CS teams are proving that the region is getting back on track after two of their finest teams secured qualification for the upcoming PW Shanghai Major 2024 at the Americas RMRs.
Team Liquid and Complexity have qualified for the upcoming CS2 tournament as we get closer to the end of the RMRs. The CS2 odds were in favour of Liquid and Complexity after getting into the 2:1 bracket, making them convenient likely participants at the PW Shanghai Major 2024.
Complexity were the first team to achiev the feat after beating M80 in a 2:0 series with EliGE and floppy turning for Complexity, the whole roster came to the fore and rightly got a deserved comfortable win.
Liquid had it a bit tougher as they were made to go on a third map by FURIA. Expectedly so, as the two teams were among the faves qualified. Already having it to slug it in the 2:1 bracket was already a disappointment, but nevertheless, Liquid did enough to come out on top, banishing the horrors of failing to reach the PGL Major Copenhagen 2024 earlier this year.
Meanwhile, the two victims of Liquid and Complexity’s victories, FURIA and M80, will have to go deeper down and into complications to qualify for the PW Shanghai Major 2024. The two teams will first have to win their 2:2 bracket match to stand any chance of picking up the 7th place tiebreaker for the final Major spot.
M80 are the ones in the biggest danger as they could eventually miss two Majors in a row despite good showings in different LAN events this year. FURIA got hard done by matching Complexity in the 2:1 bracket, going into the game as underdogs.
FURIA needs to beat BESTIA to remain in contention of picking one of the last two Americas RMR spots at the PW Shanghai Major 2024.
