The second stanza of the LCK Summer split will commence with some interesting match-ups, especially with the match between KDF and HLE where the former will hope to tie the score.
Hanwha Life eSports started the split slowly but bounced back in week four with wins over Fox and T1 which moved them to second on the rankings. They have lost only to DK and Gen.G. The results have been rather short of expectation instead of being impressive considering HLE’s roster.
Kwandong Freecs have been the dark horses in the LCK beating most of the teams ranked below them on the table although they have been poor in getting past the top teams aside from picking games off DK and T1.
As both Kwandong Freecs and Hanwha Life Esports face off, KDF are in better placement especially as they have not based their performances on a single player but rather on different players carrying the team.
Cuzz carried games on Nidalee (5 out of 5), with less pressure on Bulldog and Leaper to be the damage dealers. The team has been more balanced although they struggle to put in their aggressive form early in games but HLE could capitalize on that since they have been the better team in that aspect, doing it easily against opponents.
HLE does not have the same luxury that KDF has in the aspect of not depending on a single player with Viper and Zeka being the most important players who do the job on the ADC. Peanut is the link for the whole team and he dictates the pace of games.
Peanut is so important if he’s off form, the team suffers, and HLE struggles. Should KDF be able to neutralize him, then HLE should be able to get something from the game.
