Top Esports mid laner Knight has emerged winner KDA title of the 2022 Summer Split.
The LPL star now heads to the postseason as one of the hottest players in the world after the end of all four major League of Legends regions Summer Splits on Sunday.
Knight finished the season in style with final KDA of 10.0, which was the highest among all players across the League’s major regions and was the only double-digit mark among qualified players in the world.
After playing 38 games this summer for Top Esports, he posted a combined scoreline of 183/42/239, according to League stats site Games of Legends.
Although he is behind many players around the globe in kills and assists, his impressive mark of 1.1 deaths per game allowed him to surpass all other players in the world in the KDA department.
Taliyah had been the champion that Knight found most success this summer, having played the Stoneweaver five times this split, winning all five games and earning an individual KDA of 19.3 with it.
Records of the Games of Legends also showed that the next-highest KDA in the world this summer after Knight is Evil Geniuses support Vulcan, who posted a KDA of 8.72 this split.
The third on the list is Team Liquid mid laner Bjergsen, with a KDA of 8.68. Bjergsen was 0.04 points short of winning the North America’s KDA title in both the Spring and Summer Splits.
In a related development, G2 Esports’ bottom lane duo of Targamas and Flakked ranked first and second in Europe. The duo were top in the LEC’s KDA while Gen.G teammates Ruler and Chovy took first and second place in the LCK.
Fnatic AD carry Upset is the overall winner who finished with a mark of 5.7 this summer. The Spring Split’s worldwide KDA king, however, recorded a full 10-plus points lower than the stunning 16.5 number he put up in the first half of the year.
Knight will return to the LPL stage on August 22 for Top Esports’ fourth-round Summer Split playoff matchup.
