One of the ex-CS:GO pro players, Hiko, has rated Riot Games as a game developer better and higher than Valve, the developers of CS2. Right from the release of the test version of CS2, Valve had issues they couldn’t sort on the game.
One of the numerous issues Valve is struggling with on Counter-Strike 2 is cheating. Hiko’s certainty about his stance was publicized on his latest stream on Wednesday, November 15, where he encountered a blatant cheater in one of his games.
He sparked the discussion about CS2’s cheating problems and created a comparison between Riot and VALORANT by stating his preferred choice.
“When Riot first came out [with VALORANT] and they said that they have a kernel-level anti-cheat, people hated Riot for it. ‘Oh, it’s a Chinese company, they’re spying on our computer, oh, they shouldn’t have access to our computer.’ Bro, I don’t play against many hackers in VALORANT at the highest rank. Whereas in the highest rank in this game [CS2], everybody complains [about cheaters],” Hiko said.
Valve’s newest title was released at the end of September, and every time that Premier mode is played, the second game feels like there’s a cheater in it, especially in the higher ranks, one of the things Hiko pointed out.
Riot’s FPS, on the other hand, has an anti-cheat system that eliminates cheaters and bans them, a system that isn’t such a big issue.
The Kernel-Level access anti-cheat software that Riot put into VALORANT can be which was initially hated and got negative feedback.
Unfortunately, Valve’s anti-cheat system has not proven to be effective, and players have had issues, especially in the Premier mode.
Hiko, In the same stream, explained that if the issue of cheaters is sorted, the game would be fun and will make the game better even if other issues aren’t sorted.
