BBL Esports will not be featuring in the VALORANT Champions after being eliminated by Guild Esports in the EMEA Last Chance Qualifier.
This means the Turkish team will miss out on another Champions appearance. They are the second team to be eliminated from the LCQ. The former Champions winners Acend were eliminated by G2 Esports earlier on Tuesday.
BBL has found it had to make a name for themselves among the other teams in EMEA during 2022, having excelled in the Turkish league.
Their struggles have now continued. The Turkish team, to prove themselves went for Haven as the opening map but struggled to win gunfights.
Although they had a strong start in the opening two rounds with Haven, they quickly fell behind once Guild were able to purchase actual weapons, which resulted in a 9-3 half.
In the second half of Haven, BBL failed to win a single round while Guild continued to snowball.
Guild recorded A 13-3 win. All thanks to Sayf for its ability to take over the map on Chamber. After the map, he recorded a 2.71 KD and a headshot percentage of 25.
This will be disappointing to BBL as Fracture was much closer than Haven. This allowed BBL to regain after getting stomped, recording a two-round lead during the second half.
Despite this looking promising, that lead was quickly erased by Guild, who strung together five rounds and brought the game back into their favour.
BBL made an attempt to come back into the game by winning one more round Before losing 13-10 and getting swept in after losing the lower bracket.
It was trexx that became the star on KAY/O with a 1.78 KD and an average combat score of 293.
Guild will continue their lower bracket run in their next game against the loser of OG LDN UTD vs. M3 Champions.
