T1’s biggest rivals, Gen.G, have confirmed their lineup for the 2025, days after the former confirmed its roster for the upcoming season. The headline for Gen. G’s 2025 roster is an old glory who makes a return to the organization.

Gen. G’s roster was heavily anticipated all through the off season as fans were looking to see if the organization will match or better the big names in the 2024 lineup. That roster ended up in the top four at Worlds, and they may be looking to do better in 2025 and try to win the championship itself.

Legendary ADC Ruler, who was with the team between 2018 and 2022, has been brought back to strengthen the team. Ruler spent two seasons in the LPL with JD Gaming but has now returned to face superpowers in Korean esports.

Gen.G played with Kiin, Canyon, and Chovy throughout season 14, which was seen as the team with the best top-side trio in the world and now that they have all three players back on the roster makes Gen. G’s lineup a team to watch out for in 2025.

T1’s team can’t be slept on after they brought in Doran and Zeus heading to HLE, while Kiin would play with Gen.G for another year. Ruler’s addition makes the potential for Gen.G in the next season bigger than that of last year or at least equal to.

The only visible weak link in the Gen.G lineup is Duro, who was brought in from BNK FearX. His rise has been smooth after joining FearX’s starting lineup in the past LCK Summer split. His being weak is not linked to his quality but rather the ability to be able to rise up to the quality that he will be playing with and proving himself to be one of the rising stars in the Korean league

By January 2025, when the LCK season starts, we will get to see if this lineup will help Gen.G win that long-awaited world championship.
