The CS:GO sphere is getting busier ahead of the 2023 summer offseason, with a lot of teams changing and adjusting rosters ahead of the release of the CS2.

Despite the heavy transactional movements, one of the biggest organizations in CS ESports, G2, may not do much despite disappointing results recently. This may come as a surprise for a lot of fans who expected that after missing out on the BLAST Paris Major playoffs in May.

After securing the IEM Katowice in February and the BLAST Premier World Final in December 2022, other results have been poor. One of the players who were rumored to be in line to be replaced is Danish in-game leader HooXi, who reported that he could be replaced by GamerLegion’s prodigy captain, siuhy.

However, G2’s CS manager Petar “Peca” Marković, cleared the air on Wednesday, June 21, after revealing on social media saying the organization believes in its roster.

“We stand firm in our belief and confidence in our roster. Over the past seven months, we have showcased our capabilities to the world not once but twice. Every journey has its ups and downs, and we embrace that. No changes are needed for now; our trust lies in our roster. Trust the process, just as we do. While recent events may not have showcased our best, now is the moment to regroup and focus on what lies ahead.” Peca wrote on Twitter.

G2 have failed to make the grand finale of any tier one tournaments since their unbeaten run at IEM Katowice in February. At the ESL Pro League Season 17 in March, the powerhouse got eliminated in the round of 12; they were knocked out at the BLAST Paris Major Legends Stage in May with a 1-3 record.

Their IEM Dallas and BLAST Premier Spring Final runs in June ended in the quarterfinals and semifinals of the competition, respectively. G2’s next event is the BLAST Premier Fall Groups from July 13 to 23.
