Bleed Esports has continued to build their roster ahead of Counter-Strike redemption by adding CeRq to its Counter-Strike 2 roster, leaving the team with just two more members to fill in.
Bleed maximized the final hours of 2023 to sign former NRG and Evil Geniuses AWPer CeRq as head coach Kassad continues to build a strong roster for the organization’s competitive CS2 debut in 2024.
Kassad has previously signed former Ninjas in Pyjamas stalwart Hampusand ex-BIG player Josef “faveN” Baumann for the big green. However, it is left to be seen what and who will come into the remaining two spots on the roster which now has a veteran IGL, a rifler, and an AWPer on it.
CeRq has shown that he can be impeccable with his AWP displays in over six years he has spent in his CS:GO career. CeRq first made waves in his short stint with a former Bulgarian CS team, the Outlaws.
After his exceptional showings in several tournaments, NRG added him to their professional roster in 2017, albeit two years later, in 2019, NRG’s roster was acquired by Evil Geniuses, and he and his then-teammates went under new management.
The Bulgarian impressed crowds and won tournaments and medals for a while after the EG transfer, before he started dropping in performance, especially in 2021 when the team went through several roster changes.
CeRq continued to slump in form, but Despite his best efforts to return to his prime, Evil Geniuses parted ways with him ahead of the 2023 CS:GO season.
However, Bleed Esports head coach, kassad believes CeRq has enough to quality to remain a winner in CS2 based on comments he made in December about the player.
“Obviously, he has a lot more years in front of him if he’s willing to put in the time. We all know that he has the skill… He is farming quite a bit in CS2.” kassad.
