League of Legends star player Faker has once again proved beyond doubt the reason there’s no debate about the greatest player in that scene of esports compared to others with his performance in T1’s win over G2 over the weekend that saw the former qualify for the Worlds 2024 Knockout stage in Paris, France.

Aside from the ticket to the World, the win is the first for any player in League history to reach a milestone win at the Worlds competitions. Faker’s participation in the win means he’s now secured a 100th win at Worlds competition.

He didn’t just reach the feat lazily as part of the roster, but he managed the feat in style against the EU giants, as he led T1 in kills and did a triple kill to seal a game before rolling back on Ahri in a back-and-forth game two, where he and Zeus combined for eight kills apiece.

The performance spirited T1 and an absolutely monster Baron to record a 2-0 sweep over Caps and company. However, it should not be mistaken that the season has been going well for T1, which has had an inconsistent season.

The team lost its first match on the Swiss stage to Top Esports, but they subsequently got victories over paiN and BLG before the big win over G2. G2 still has a chance to reach the quarterfinals.

Meanwhile, the four-time champ’s record holder’s 100th Worlds victory only underlines his greatness, with the closest players to him being Ruler in second with 60 Worlds wins, while Deft comes third with 50 to his name. The rest of the players on the list are below 50, leaving just two players in League history with even half of Faker’s Worlds wins.

T1 goes into the quarterfinals with alot to do and something to prove, but for their superstar, Faker, nothing to prove.
