Reports coming from the world of esports should get fans in Europe excited as there might be a Call of Duty League event coming up. The new season’s details are still sketchy as the League hasn’t made it public but speculations believe that the season may start before the end of 2024.

The reports indicate that two of the five Major LAN events in the CDL in the 2024/2025 season may be on its way to Barcelona in Spain and Toronto, Canada. The schedule, according to esports reporters, says that the League will be kicking off very, very soon.

The Black Ops 6 CDL season will start on Dec. 6, before a three-week break for the Christmas holiday season, and will climax with the Major One LAN event in Barcelona. Furthermore, summer events will see Four Majors, online qualifiers and mid-Major Minor events taking place within each.

The CDL Championship Weekend will happen in Toronto from Jun. 26 to 29 meaning that there will be three other potential hosts while Dallas, Florida, and Chicago have all been tipped as potential spots.

This new arrangement for the CDL Champs Weekend might perhaps be hinting towards Black Ops 6 and Warzone being potentially part of the Esports World Cup once again. The esports World Cup was on in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, earlier in 2024 throughout July and August.

CDL in the previous season happened in Boston, Miami, and Toronto for three of its Major events, while the venue was Texas for the Champs Weekend. Meanwhile, the CDL will be beaming to an entirely new live audience when the Major One debuts in Barcelona, becoming the CDL’s first event in Spain.

However, all these remain unconfirmed rumors until there is an official announcement soon, which many believe could come from the CDL next Tuesday, Nov. 12, where final details will be ironed out.
