BIG continues its roster shuffle after failing to qualify for the European RMR, but this time, there is a massive overhaul. The roster has bid farewell to Mateusz “mantuu” Wilczewski and Elias “s1n” Stein, but Florian “syrsoN” Rische returns while the organization has also signed Jon “JDC” de Castro, re-establishing a full German lineup.

BIG’s most recent struggles saw them record an early exit from the Copenhagen Major cycle and a loss to Astralis in the BLAST Premier Spring Groups. Those results meant that the team needed to restrategize if they were to regain their footing in the highly competitive CS2 scene.

Mantuu’s signing forced BIG to adopt English communication, but his departure, which paves the way for the return of syrsoN, returns the team’s native language dynamics.

Former anchor for MOUZ, JDC, got into the team after s1n stepped down while there is a second stint at BIG for syrsoN, after stepping down from the roster in February of 2023.

SyrsoN is a former MVP for BIG, while JDC is a seasoned player with multiple Academy League titles. Both of them will inject experience and skill into the lineup.

The two players are also familiar with the organization and each other’s playstyles, and these two could provide the stability that BIG needs to succeed. The fact that they are also German speakers means that these new signings will bring back the chemistry and communication advantages of a solely German-speaking team.

BIG’s new roster now comprises:

Johannes “tabseN” Wodarz

Florian “syrsoN” Rische

Jon “JDC” de Castro

David “prosus” Hesse

Karim “Krimbo” Moussa

Fatih “gob b” Dayik serves as the Head Coach.

Elias “s1n” Stein and Mateusz “mantuu” Wilczewski are still under contract but have moved to an inactive role.

With the new roster now in place, BIG will hope to reclaim their status as contenders on the international stage by making a strong impact in upcoming tournaments.
